Balayya New Film

Nandamuri Natasimham Balakrishna is currently on his toes looking at the way he has been signing films. Now, it is heard that one of his new projects has a link of sorts with his earlier films. We are talking about the new movie being directed by Ravi Chavali and produced by Ramesh Puppala.

Sources say the film has got a title and it has been named as 'Srimannarayana'. If you can recall, this was the name that Balayya used for his role as a lecturer in the blockbuster hit 'Simha'. However, though the title is soft, the film is said to be filled with high adrenaline action and punch dialogues.

On the other hand, Balayya is flanked by the red wine beauty Parvathi Melton along with the endearing smile beauty Isha Chawla. To those who love glamour and visual feast, what more can they ask for. All in all, a pure commercial potboiler masala looks strong on the cards with this.

Mahesh Babu Is 5th Most Desirable Man

Mahesh Babu has been voted as the 5th Most Desirable Man in India in a nationwide poll conducted by Times of India. He was one among the three Telugu actors who were short-listed among the Top 50 list. The other two were Rana Daggubati and Siddharth. Mahesh Babu is on a new high post two blockbusters – Dookudu and Businessman. Moreover, his brand value has increased manifold over the past couple of years. Now with him being ranked among the most popular actors in the country, it is yet another proof of his charismatic appeal and massive fan following. Great going Mahesh!

Rachaa In Trouble

Mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej is currently busy with the shooting of his new movie 'Racha' and just when everyone thought that the film will be wrapped up smoothly, trouble has arrived. This has happened in Kerala where Charan was shootng for a song in the Periyar Tiger Reserve, (PTR).

It is heard that he is accompanied by the milky white beauty Tamannah. Both were supposed to take part in few songs but it is heard that the forest officer has given an objection. He has reportedly stated that the lead pair should wear life jackets since they are shooting atop a lake. But this has not gone well with director Sampath Nandi, as per sources.

While he has refused for the life jackets, it is heard that the forest officials have ordered to stop work. Without any other choice, the makers of 'Racha' required to cancel the shooting. Further details about the next step would be revealed soon. The music is by Melody Brahma Mani Sharma.

Jr Ntr's Dammu

A series of flops before YAMADONGA are considered to be the nightmarish experiences for Jr.NTR's fans. The actor may forget all those 'creations' with his new-hits, but fans are still haunted, say reports.

One such movie that left audiences disheartened is Puri Jagannadh's ANDHRAWALA. Casting NTR as a father and a son was the main culprit for the fate of movie according to Cine Observers. At present, same kind of talks are heard about his latest coming DAMMU. Junior is essaying the role of a factionist father and police officer son is the version of some gossips. If that is true, Fans are afraid of the repeat of ANDHRAWALA FATE. Some of the leaked dialogues of DAMMU, as believed by fans, are generating a big-hype for the flick. 

Except this old movie sentiment that is creating tensions for fans, DAMMU looks pretty loaded with all ingredients to become a perfect entertainer. Watch out this space for more updates.

Pawan Has To Deliver A Hit

Gabbar Singh is his third film as a director. Although Mirapakay was a good hit, it didn't make Harish Shankar the hot property in Tollywood. He is yet to deliver a blockbuster that make the heads turn.

If the buzz is to be believed, Gabbar Singh is one such film for Harish Shankar. He is aware of the fact that Dabangg was a routine mass masala fare that worked in Bollywood solely on Salman's star power. Even Pawan Kalyan can pull off such blockbuster on his own. So Harish Shankar is doing his best to make the routine story look extraordinary by adding his touch to Dabangg.

Harish's forte is dialogue and he is putting more than hundred percent efforts to make every line uttered by Pawan to count. Industry buzz say that Gabbar Singh has one of the finest dialogues in the history of Telugu cinema. Harish is also handling the film so well and the buzz says that GS would be a sure shot blockbuster. They say that this movie will put Harish Shankar among the top five directors of Telugu cinema. 

Adhinayakudu In Trouble

Balakrishna's Adhinayakudu movie was launched long back. It ran into trouble during the production stage and Balakrishna moved on to do Sri Rama Rajyam movie. By then this film's shoot was almost complete.

The producer had to wait until Balakrishna is done with Sri Rama Rajyam. As there is no business craze for this movie, he is happy to come after Sri Rama Rajyam rather releasing it after Parama Veera Chakra. Sadly, Sri Rama Rajyam didn't fare well at the box office and therefore there are no takers for Adhinayakudu.

That is the reason for delaying this movie for so long. Even now the release date is yet to be confirmed. Some 'investments' are such a way that even in the recession time they will give you huge profits. Perfect example for this is Powerstar Pavan Kalyan.

According to grapevine, an ace producer and a star director are fighting for Pavan Kalyan. The quarrel rose in connection with the producing of his next film after GABBAR SINGH. If sources are to be believed, Pavan gave a serious 'yes' to Puri's movie after this flick. Other than directing, Puri wants to produce the flick on his own banner 'Vaishno Academy'.

However, Allu Arvind is said to be insisting Puri to produce the movie on 'Geetha Arts' banner. Though Pavan gave the consent just few days back, Arvind is waiting from a long time to get Puri direct under his company. Let us see what happens!

On the other hand, Mahesh is preparing for his new project 'Seetamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' followed by the other project with Sukumar. The cine folks say "Given the tight schedules of both Puri and Mahesh, it may not be possible for the sequel to happen so soon. In between, any change can happen. But then, the concept of the sequel is very exciting so it will be nice if the project materializes. Let us see how things take shape."

Naga Chaitu's Autonagar Surya

Naga Chaitanya, who has been trying hard to get a Mass hero image and get into the league of big heroes, is currently busy in the shooting of 'Auto Nagar Surya'. The latest schedule of this movie started today at Kothapet of Hyderabad, in Victoria school. Naga Chaitanya is pairing up with his lucky heroine Samantha.

This film is being directed by Deva Katta, who has made good films like 'Vennela' and 'Prasthanam'. It is heard that 'Auto Nagar Surya' slightly falls into the same genre as 'Prasthanam', where we can observe realistic political satires. Anoop Rubens is scoring the music for this film, and Achchi Reddy is producing the movie while RR Movie Makers are presenting the film

Gabbar Singh Trailor

The fans of power star Pawan Kalyan are waiting eagerly for the release of his new film gabbar singh. Pawan Kalyans last film Panja was a disaster. So he is now determined to score a big hit and make up for the poor show of Puli, Teen Maar and Panja. An action scene has been completed recently at a specially erected set in Hyderabad.
 
The unit is now going to Pollachi to film a song on Pawan and Sruthi Haasan. The teaser trailer of gabbar singh is expected to be released on February 14. The audio launch will be held soon after. The film will hit the screens for summer

Ramcharan Incapable

Ram Charan revealed a secret about 3 Idiots Telugu remake at Snehithudu audio launch. The makers of 3 Idiots approached Ram Charan with the proposal of remaking it in Telugu. They have even arranged a premier for him, but Charan declined the offer.

Later the remake rights were bought by Gemini Film Circuit and they roped in Shankar as the director. Shankar planned to remake it in Telugu and Tamil with Mahesh and Vijay respectively. But Mahesh backed out of the project and Shankar dropped the idea of remaking it in Telugu. Now the Tamil remake is being dubbed in Telugu.

Ram Charan told at Snehithudu audio launch that he would have accepted the remake offer if he know that Shankar is the director. Shankar approached only Mahesh Babu and never considered any other Telugu hero for it. Had he contacted Charan, he would have happily obliged. So in Shankar's vision, Charan doesn't fit for 3 Idiots remake, isn't it?

 Businessman's business proves that Mahesh Babu is undoubtedly sitting on the top at the moment. After delivering big hit with Dookudu, Mahesh is all set to register another good hit with Businessman. As per the current trends, Businessman should easily cross 30 crore mark within no time.

At this point, it is crucial for Mahesh Babu to plan the next move intelligently. He has already taken up a right project in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, which has more chances to be a good hit at the box office. This is a family movie and what will be Mahesh's follow up movie to it?

Earlier it was believed that Sukumar will direct Mahesh's next film after SVSC. That may not be so clever as Sukumar is not known for handling big stars. Even Mahesh gave it a thought after looking at the response for Businessman. He is planning to replace Sukumar with Boyapati Srinu, who is known for mass masala movies. If this is to be believed then it will be surely a timely and deadly move from the Prince.

Chiru Plans 150th Movie

It has been quite a while since the talk was on about megastar Chiranjeevi and his 150th film. After having gotten into politics, the possibilities of him doing that film was almost sealed. But in between again, grapevine began to make rounds about Puri Jagannadh being chosen and V V Vinayak being kept on hold.

But again there was a brief lull and all of them almost forgot it. However, it appears that the issue is very much alive. Recently, Chiru was sharing his thoughts when he reportedly mentioned that his 150th film is very much on the pipeline and will be made. This has brought a major cheer to Chiru fans.

So far, the megastar has not achieved anything significant in his political career so the mega fans are hoping that atleast by doing the 150th film, he can regain his lost glory and send a message that Tollywood's emperor is still the megastar only. Let us see how this goes.

Can Ramcharan Beat Big B

Mega powerstar Ram Charan Tej who is currently busy with the final shaping of his film 'Racha' has increased the speed. While his next lineup of projects is confirmed, one project has caught the attention of many. This is Charan's Bollywood venture which is gearing up to hit the floors.

Sources say Charan is making his debut in Bollywood through the remake of the yesteryears hit 'Zanjeer' which was the turning point in Amitabh Bachchan's career. With this, many are asking the big question- can Ram Charan match with Amitabh? Obviously, comparisons are bound to rise with the remake hence this talk.

The cine folks say "This is a big challenge for Ram Charan but the fact that he is a newface in Bollywood works for him. The expectations would be low. And everyone including Charan know that trying to make a comparison makes no sense. What remains to be seen is how strong an impact can Charan create with his performance and how he can grab the attention of Bollywood."

Poolarangadu Shows His Muscle

Hero turned comedian Sunil is all set to arrive with his new movie 'Poolarangadu' and while the film was due to arrive for Sankranthi, it managed to arrive with its trailer for the festival. The film is due for release on February 3rd and here are the reactions for the first look of the film.

A group said "The trailer was nothing extraordinary. It started with a dialogue which was interesting though. The best thing about the trailer was Sunil showed his muscles and that was met with full whistles in the theatre. Overall, the trailer not good but the muscles of Sunil were great."

They add "Without the trailer if only the muscles and physique of Sunil were shown, it would have created a new impact. Also, Isha's touch of glamour was not shown. The trailer was racy but the required impact was not created. Let us hope the film is not like that."

Victory Venkatesh who was seen in family oriented roles is back again with a rather emotional and sensitive tale. This time he is pairing up with his regular favourite Trisha. Let us see how this is

Story:
A remake tale, the story begins with Venkatadri (Venkatesh) who has great respect for Varadarajulu Naidu (Prakash Raj) as he saves his life. However, he keeps getting into fights wherever he sees injustice. To bring some discipline, Venkatadri's uncle (Tanikella) sends him to Varadarajulu Naidu as his personal bodyguard.

However, Varadarajulu's enemy Siva Reddy (Kota) wants revenge and he wants to kill Keerthi (Trisha), Varadarajulu's daughter. Knowing this threat, Venkatadri is assigned the task of protecting Keerthi. But she along with her friend Swathi (Saloni) don't like the bossy and over protective nature of Venkatadri.

To play a prank, Keerthi starts calling Venkatadri from a private number and says she is in love with him. After few hesitations, Venkatadri starts falling in love with the caller not knowing it is Keerthi. Realizing his true love, Keerthi also falls in love. But what starts as a prank brings a totally different perspective to their lives. How that happens forms the rest of the story.
 
Performances
Venkatesh has always been good with these types of roles so he has a cakewalk in his performance. His sense of dressing is good and his fitness levels are decent.

Trisha looks simply gorgeous. Her real beauty is seen when she wears Sarees and though her role is quite subdued, she has delivered at the right point, especially the emotional scenes.

Saloni got a meaty and significant role. She has utilised it properly and more than her performance, it is her natural sex appeal and a charm that draws the attention of the audience. 

Prakash Raj was elegant and his role is brief but effective. Subbaraju was good. Ali's comedy was a little controversial but enjoyable. Venu Madhav was funny. Kota did his bit as required. Dharmavarapu, Pragathi, Shravan, Tanikella were there to fill the screen.

Analysis
The film happens to be the remake of the Malayalam super hit with the same title which eventually scored success in Tamil and Hindi versions too. So, this becomes the first setback for the film as the familiarity aspect is very high. Moreover, the talk that focus was kept on comedy is not so because what was there in the original has been reprised and there is no extra dose.

On the other hand, the film runs at a steady pace so those who are seeking some fast paced screenplay will get restless. However, despite all these challenges, the director was successful in packaging the film to an appealing level and infused the commercial elements. The action sequences were filled with high voltage. Care was taken to make the film look visually soothing with rich colours, nice backdrops and gripping cinematography. 

On the story front, the film will appeal to the family audience, especially the lady audience. And if one has not seen the original, the impact will be stronger. The entire tale runs on a rather matured level and it goes to show the various angles of love such as sacrifice, selfishness, innocence and trust. Given the fact that the story originates from Malayalam where content is given maximum importance, the commercial and entertainment aspects were not upto the taste of the Tollywood audience. But this is more of a class film.

At the box office, the film might score with the grown ups and it might strike a chord at B, C centres if they don't look for out and out action entertainer. This is a decent festival treat for the Telugu audience but super hit may not be possible.  

Mahesh To Wipe Of Dookudu Record

Although the producers of Dookudu claim that Dookudu movie holds the top grosser record of Tollywood, the fact remains that Magadheera is still the numero uno of Telugu cinema. Also the number of fifty days centers of Dookudu were faked. So that movie doesn't hold that record too.

Most of Dookudu records were virtual records which won't exist or proved in reality. Only innocent fans and some sections of media with herd mentality should believe those fake numbers.  Dookudu has only a couple of records to its credit. It is the biggest grosser of Tollywood in overseas and also has the record for best collections in first week.

Businessman will surely break the second one and it may surpass Dookudu in overseas if the former gets superb talk from the audiences and also rave reviews from the critics. If that happens, Dookudu records will be short lived and Mahesh fans shouldn't have any complaints about it as it proves the caliber of their matinee idol.

Mahesh Babu Vs Venky :Venky The Winner

Whenever Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh, the soon to be brothers in Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, locked horns at the box office, Venky proved to be the victorious one with Mahesh films failing at the box office. Interestingly on the both the occasions, Venkatesh's films went on to create a new record for highest number of fifty days centers.

Mahesh and Venkatesh films were clashed twice in the past. When Vamsi and Jayam Manadera clashed at the box office, Venky film was successful and Maheash's was a disaster. Later they clashed again with Athidi and Tulasi. And again Venky had the upper hand. Even Venkatesh's films started off with bad talk but went on to become big hits on both the occasions.

Now they are clashing again with Businessman and Bodyguard. Will Venkatesh bag a hat-trick or Mahesh gives a strong reply? As of now Venkatesh is having the advantage of cinema sentiments. But Mahesh's Dookudu is like never before this time!

Srinu Vaitla Success Key

Director Srinu Vaitla has always been called as the consistent hit maker given his graph of successes. However, there is also another observation from the cine folks. They say that the key reason for Vaitla's success is his team of writers. Now, the time has come for Vaitla to take the litmus test.

Apparently, the backbone of Vaitla's scriptwriting is the noted writer Kona Venkat. But now, it is heard that Kona Venkat has left him and has begun to venture into direction himself. Many say that it is who writes dialogues for Vaitla's projects. Now we have to see how the originality of Vaitla will be.

The cine pundits however have a different view. They say "Agreed Kona Venkat was a key member in Vaitla's gang but that doesn't mean Vaitla doesn't have material. He can deliver when required. He has groomed enough writers in his camp and most importantly, it is the idea which is conceived for a scene which causes impact."

Balayya Is Childish :Chiranjeevi

Balakrishna on him, before leaving to Visakhapatnam for the three day tour of firsttime MLAs and MLCs.

"Balakrishna is my good friend. He have a child-like heart. There won't be anything worthy in the words spoken by the kids. So, I'm not taking them seriously. I think, there is no need to react to his comments," replied Chiranjeevi, downplaying Balayya's comments.

Few days back, Balakrishna addressed the public meeting at Ghantasala after unveiling NTR's Statue. In his speech, Balayya criticized Chiranjeevi terming him as an escapist and the one who has no motive to serve people. "Several parties which came up with a slogan of 'social justice' failed to achieve their desired goals and packed up in no time," said Balayya, referring to Chiranjeevi and PRP.

Balayya's remarks have not gone down well with the PRP leaders and Chiru's reaction Today is an indication to that!

Bodyguard Carrying Positive Talk

Good news for Venkatesh fans! As per the buzz from industry sources, Venky is eyeing yet another Victory with Bodyguard. The film's censor has been done and it has been certified clean U which has become a rarity for big budget films these days.

The initial reports from the Censors and the industry circles are very positive. As per the talk, first half of Bodyguard is a fun ride with ample comedy provided by Venkatesh. The college scenes have come out really well, they say.

Second half slows down a bit due to less comedy, but has enough to sustain the interest of the audience. Last thirty minutes of the film is said to be the heart of it as Venkatesh has given terrific performance in bringing out the right feel. All in all Bodyguard is said to be a complete film that caters to festive crowds. History says such films have done well for Pongal and if we go by it, Venkatesh has a winner at hands.

Prabha's Rebel Release Date

Young Rebel Star Prabhas starrer Rebel in the direction of mass director Raghava Lawrence is shooting at a brisk pace. The film was recently shot in Bangkok and the current buzz is that the Rebel is slated for a release on the Telugu New Year's Day Ugadi [March 23].

For the first time Prabhas is pairing up with fair beauty Tamanna in the film and the former Deeksha Seth is playing second fiddle to her. The intense action thriller Rebel has Krishnam Raju in an important role. Prabhas and Krishnam Raju had shared screen earlier in Billa that scored a decent success at the Box-Office.

J.Bhagwan and J.Pulla Rao are producing Rebel on Balaji Cine Media banner and Thaman is providing the sound track for the film.

Bodyguard Pressmeet

Venkatesh's Ganga – The Bodyguard is a remake of Malayalam blockbuster movie of the same name. It was made in Hindi, Tamil and Kannada. The Bollywood and Tollywood versions won the hearts of the audiences. The strengths of the movie are Venky's strong presence and universally-appealing story.'Bodyguard' will hit the screens on January 12, 2012.Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the movie also stars Prakash Raj, Subbaraju and Venu Madhav. From a long time, there is a talk in Industry that a cold war is there between Nandamuri Balakrishna and Ravi Teja. Though both sides have denied that vehemently, the cine folks are not ready to buy that and they strongly believe that the battle is still on.

Meanwhile, there is always a clash that happens between both stars at the box office. It is heard like a joke that when Ravi Teja's 'Veera' flopped, Balayya gave an 'off the record' statement that 'Veera' should have been made with him but not Ravi Teja. Tamil director Shankar, who doesn't bank on heroine's glamour, is surprising everyone with the way he is presenting Ileana in Tamil remake of 3 Idiots. Ileana is looking at her sexiest best in Nanban (Snehitudu) stills. She is ultra slim and even beautiful than before.

Shankar also put a song which has lyrics written on Ileana's name praising her eternal beauty. This is certainly not the Shankar we know. This mega director mainly depends on visual grandeur and script value all the time.

It is heard that the song happens to be a straight lift from the noted Italian techno mix song made during the World War II. The song goes 'Bella Ciao..' and if you look at it even the titles also are similar.

The man to make this tune is SS Thaman and it is heard that the video is there in the Youtube site with some criticising comments. As it is, 'Businessman' is facing some satires due to the delay in the release. With this new update, it remains to be seen what impact it will leave on the film.

Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh producer is hoping Mahesh Babu film Businessman to become a good hit. Why is Ganesh Babu praying for other hero's success? The logic is very simple. Ganesh Babu signed a deal with Puri Jagannadh for two films for a whopping amount.

Right now Puri's track record has been pretty bad and until or unless he bounces back with Mahesh Babu's Businessman, the director's next films wouldn't attract business circles. Ganesh planned to do a film with NTR and Puri Jagannadh immediately after Srinu Vytla's Action with NTR.

Padukone made her acting debut in the 2006 Kannada film Aishwarya. It also remains her biggest commercial success so far. She subsequently appeared in films such as Love Aaj Kal (2009) and Housefull (2010). Power star Pawan Kalyan is preparing to arrive with his new film 'Gabbar Singh' and this is a litmus test for him given the recent string of flops he has scored. While extra attention is being taken to ensure that the film shapes up well, recently the first look of the film was unveiled through few stills.

Pawan was seen in a cop's uniform and holding different types of guns. One group which saw the pictures said "The feel of the stills convey that there is more humour and entertainment in the film than the seriousness. And Pawan's dressing is typical to his style and body language."

Another group revealed "Comparisons between Pawan and Salman are bound to occur due to the 'Dabangg' factor. Of course, Pawan has his own style but unless the film has something special and different, the chances of scoring a hit would be difficult. This is going to be a big challenge not just for Pawan but also for director Harish Shankar."
